It was great to see Bella and her family this summer for family portraits. Bella was in the Montessori class I taught at the Montessori Children's House of Denver (MCHD). Bella only liked to wear dresses that she could twirl in.

With the vision of Dale Le Monds, owner of Aveda Institutes Denver, Tucson and Provo I was fortunate enough to spend my summer documenting the best Aveda salons and spas in Denver and the surrounding areas and creating this book.

The salons are run by passionate and innovative business people who were a pleasure to work with.

Alicia Park, the marketing director of institutes, worked closely with me to gather content from the salons and provide me with all the necessary contacts.


I enjoyed the opportunity to use my story telling abilities in making this book, telling the story of Aveda's growth and businesses in Colorado.

The Elati Garden First Friday Art Fair(s)

Elati Garden is a community garden and part of the Denver Urban Garden system. It has been my second summer home, sanctuary and haven for four wonderful summers now. The community surrounding this garden is talented and vibrant,,,thus my idea to start a First Friday Art Fair.

Only two block from the bumping Santa Fe art district, which comes alive on first Fridays, the garden is now the perfect starting point for an evening of savory food, inspiring art, good people and jamming vibrations.

Bringing people together in the name of art, community and ethically grown food is success to me!!!
