Cuban Artist Armando Lira Reguera

Armando Lira Reguera is celebrating his debut on the Havana art scene. A woods craftsman with rare talent depicts cultural scenes of his life using Cuba's colorful variety of wood. His tools are simply raw strips of wood, a hand saw, exacter knife, wood glue (only used for stubborn wood that won't lay flat) and sand paper. "No paint," emphasizes Armando.
Exposicion: Artes Plasticas @ Casa de Cultural located at Esq. 33 y 34 Playa throughout January 2010.

Armando stands in front of a self portrait he made on his kitchen door

Vinales
