USA Today ~ Animals Can Assist in Psychology


Dr. Linda Chassman and Ellen Kinney are therapists whom use animals as an integral part of their therapy sessions. They said one of their main goals is to create a sense of calm in their sessions and the animals help in creating such an atmosphere.


Working with the dog Sasha this young girl practiced communication skills.

Dr. Linda Chassman sits with her 2-year-old cat Mazey. Dr. Chassman and her colleagues work with animals as an integral part of therapy. While Dr. Chassman and Mazey have only been working together since April when the Denver, Colorado office opened it's doors, she also worked with a cat named Norman for 10 years while practicing in California.

The therapist work with animals as an integral part their practice. Ellen and Sasha spend a lot of time working outdoors with clients.
